Reuben Sliders AND the Giveaway Winner!

I recently had some Reuben Sliders at a new local restaurant that I just LOVED. They were small and tasty - perfect for a light meal. I couldn't wait to re-create them at home. I decided to cook them dry (without butter) to keep them a bit healthier and I must say I loved these little sandwiches. They weren't greasy at all and they turned out perfectly toasted. These Reuben sliders couldn't be easier to make and they taste fantastic!

Reuben Sliders:

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1-2 tsp sweet pickle relish
  • Cocktail rye bread
  • Pastrami
  • Sauerkraut
  • Swiss cheese
Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish together in a small bowl and mix really well. Spread a bit of the ketchup mixture on each slice of cocktail rye bread. Layer one slice of bread with pastrami then add a bit of sauerkraut (make sure to squeeze excess juice out over the sink), then top with some Swiss cheese and the other slice of bread.

Preheat a skillet over medium heat then add the sandwiches. Cook for 3-4 minute or until crisp and golden brown then flip over and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
