Triple Chocolate Cookies

Next up on my kids' teachers' gift plates (first was the Lemon and Blueberry Bars with Coconut Crust) are these rich and decadent cookies. I am certain they are delicious because I managed to save a few for my kids and husband and they all moaned in delight while they ate them for dessert. These cookies were a snap to make and made the house smell amazing while they baked. They are sure to please any chocolate lover.

Triple Chocolate Cookies:
Adapted recipe by For the Love of Cooking.net
  • 1 cup of butter, softned
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silpat mat.

Beat together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the vanilla and one egg at a time until well beaten.

Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt then mix thoroughly. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and gently stir until evenly mixed. Drop a heaping spoonful of the cookie dough on the baking sheet, two inches apart.

Bake the cookies for 9-10 minutes. Cool on baking trays before moving to a rack to finish cooling. Enjoy.
