Highlander @Clarke Quay

Everytime visiting Clarke Quay always ended up at the same place, so this time my sis & I decided to give this place a try - the food, the ambience, the music...
Not a bad choice at all!

Didn't manage to get seat alfresco, we sat inside at the corner with a straight unrestricted view to the band stage - the band was not bad, with mostly familiar songs in 80's

Not a bad crowd, mostly people who knows their identity well
I now dislike being in an environment full of youngsters trying to show to the world that they're mature adults - yes, I'm somebody born in 70s - thats why! :P

Dunno what to order, asked for advice with not much help, we decided to try the sampler

The portion is HUGE!!!

Left: hot wings served with garlic mayonnaise, front: scotch eggs, behind centre: tattie scones on top of bed of potato wedges, right: venison sausages

Front centre: smoked haddock fishcakes - the rest: mentioned above
Their inhouse lager for me - quite ok, crisp, light and fruity - very easy to drink
A glass of chardonnay my sis ordered - not bad since its not too dry

In the end we couldn't finish up the meal - we were so stuffed!
My fave is the scotch eggs and the fishcake - new things for me which tasted yummy
Hot wings with the mayo is nice too

We stayed for awhile for the music before we made a move - not because we're bored but because we find that getting older (read: mature) equals to Cinderella lifestyle - to reach home by 12midnight hehehe...

Overall experience... we're pretty happy and satisfied with everything - definitely consider to go back there next time :)
